We asked Dave a series of questions that you can read below.
Hi Dave, tell me a little about yourself and HMDC. What is your background and how long have you run HMDC?
I have run HMDC LTD since July 2009 when we merged two companies, we actually had two companies from September 1999. I came from an agency background, where I met Peter who was providing freelance work for one of the agencies I worked for. I did some work outside of this and that’s when I decided to have a go on my own.
Who are your clients?
We work with clients from many sectors Healthcare, Motor Trade, Housing Associations, School Meal Services, a Gas Company plus a varity of many other clients.
What do love about your job?
I love trying to be as creative as possible within the context of the brief given. I’m always happy when people come back and love what I have produced for them.
What do you hate about your job?
Having to adhere to people’s ideas that I feel don’t work or don’t look professional.
Why do you use Apple products in your business?
We use apple because it the industry standard, I have used Macs since the very first IICi came out back in the day.
How do you find Apple products make your job easier?
Every programme is now integrated which each other so makes the workflow much easier.
How long have you used Infinite Loop/FixMyBrokenMac to look after your Apple IT needs
To be fair I not sure now, but once I met Will and the lads I was impressed how they worked so will continue to work with them going forward.
What is the advantage of using a small independent like Infinite Loop as opposed to going to the Apple Store.
It’s the one to one service and they really do know what they are doing technically, which is more than I do. They can solve problems quickly over the phone, or straight on your machine remotely. Apple always want your machine so it’s not a cost effective solution. Time is money in the industry and waiting isn’t good for us or are clients.
Were Infinite Loop helpful with helping you to decide to upgrade your hardware, and if so, how?
Very helpful. Will suggested the machine which was an iMac mini and 27” apple screen and this fitted in with what I wanted to achieve, so I went with his suggestions.
Would you recommend Infinite Loop
Absolutely, yes.
